The Group’s main objective is to contribute to the production of reflections that favor the debate on how knowledge conceptions are involved in curriculum and evaluation policies impacting the daily lives of Basic Education schools. Within the scope of the GP, reflections are developed guided by the understanding that it is necessary to emphasize the teaching role, as these professionals have the responsibility and ethical duty to monitor the development processes of their students. Assessment of learning is part of this process. Learnings that, according to post-structuralist and post-foundationalist contributions, are thought of as singular events that escape the order of calculability. A process that cannot be limited to benchmarking against previously established standards.
